Was not sure what to expect from this course, given its on public land and is shared by two clubs. However I was pleasantly surprised. The course is not that long but has enough features to give any golfer a challenge (the 200 plus yard par 3’s for a start). The greens were in fantastic condition and were a joy to play, other clubs with £40 or £50 green fees should take note! For £20 this is course is amazing value. Friendly welcome in the club house also. Well worth a visit and I will definitely be return.

I played this course a few days ago and I thought it was fantastic. The greens were in absolutely superb condition with true rolls and fast slopes. For the time of year the overall condition was amazing. Although short the course is very tight and the par threes are extremely difficult with three of them measuring over 220 yds. At £15 per round the value is amazing and the place is definitely worth visiting.

Played this course this afternoon, and quite frankly had a lovely afternoon.
£15??? What a bargain. I've lived in the area for over 10 years, and never ever gave this course a second thought. Have been happily driving down thw A3 for years paying a fortune to play second rate courses.
OK, it's short, and quite frankly, you don't really need a driver. But what greens? What a setting?
It was bliss.
The only issue I do have is the lack of clear guidance once on the course. I got so lost on the back nine that I missed a hole.
Maybe the balance isn't quite right either. Having to hit a driver on a par 3 isn't fun, and laying up with a 5 iron on a par 4 isn't necessarily what I'm used to.
But, as far as good value for money and a quality course goes, it's way up there with the best.
A thinker's course, and not really geared to beginners, but all in all a really pleasant surprise.

very good value for money, although not suitable for beginners due to the forest setting
