Marsden Park golf course is very well maintained, and always appears to be in great condition! I have been playing here now for 7 years, and in all of my presence of being here, I have never once regretted joining the club! I would advise any one who is interested in starting golf, then get yourself to Marsden Park and enjoy...

Marsden Park is the best kept gold course I have ever played. The drainage is superb since work was carried out in the last few years. The greens are magnificent, although they do seem to be lacking in 'borrow'. Whilst not being the longest course in the world the sloping fairways ,subtle traps and mature trees represent a tough challenge of positional play. The atmosphere is very friendly to both old and young alike. At only 27 pounds per month, the seven day season ticket is excellent value. NOTE:- This course is VERY hilly, so make sure you are fit enough for a strenuous hike before setting out.

This is a very good Municipal course with well cared for tees, fairways and greens. It is a hilly course with some solping fairways and also long holes up and down hill. Water hazards in the form of streams cross most of the front 9 holes making for awkward club selection with the choice of laying up or hitting long. The greens are excellent for a municipal course. There are some very entertaining holes - the par 3 7th is a gem and the 9th and 18th both give the option to hit long going downhill from elevated tees. The 16th is a beast, climbing up three "staircase" hills to an elevated green, followed by a tight shot down the 17th fairway leaving little room for error. This is a course to come back to. Also a very good clubhouse and bar/meals. At only £12.50 at weekends it is a steal.
