Played here midweek August 07 (£22 using a county card).

Above average parkland course that has a quality feel .Exposed & fairly open, when we played the wind was a big factor(& unfortunately the rain). The holes run down a slope which heads towards the sea (good views)& are divided in two by a country lane.It is also close to a castle & there are ruins next to the 6th tee which adds interest.

Course is well looked after & the greens were ultra fast & tricky.

Impressive par 3's (5th & 7th were standouts)but due to the slope it does get a bit up & down towards the end (17th is a long uphill slog).

When you pull in here it feels good straight away.

The modern clubhouse was excellent with a nice feel to it.Good changing facilities & a big upstairs lounge with views over the course & to the sea.

As part of a golf holiday this wouldn't be the main course of the trip compared to your Deal's etc. but on a sunny day with the views this makes for a decent "filler " course

Loved it. Good greens. Friendly natives. Possibly the only minor quibbles would firstly be the proximity of some of the tees in relation to the greens, a mis-cued approach could be a bit dangerous! Maybe it's because the course is old, and the place wasn't as busy as it is these days so it didn't matter so much. Secondly, a little bit more on-course information would have been welcome. No-one told us the fourth tee was across a road and back on yourself, but we found it in the end. Thirdly, the driving range was "in-bounds" which we found a little strange, if not possibly dangerous. Only played it in a breeze. Must sort the men from the boys when the wind really kicks up.

I,ve been a regular visitor to North Foreland over the last 20 years. It is a course that offers enjoyment in any season. In the height of Summer on a calm day it can be an 'ego booster'as the fairways allow lots of run.Play it later to feel the force of the wind over the headland and appreciate how tough the course really is.

It is always in great condition with the greens offering testing putts over a fast running surface with subtle slopes. The rough is tough but fair and there are great coastal views.

The Clubhouse is welcoming with a good selection of Ales and Lagers and the food is great value and well prepared.

While you're there make a point of playing the Par Three course. It's great fun and a real test.

One thing to remember is to make sure to get good directions to the course as it is a little out of the way but is well worth the effort.
