Played here midweek August 06 ( £19 using a county card ).

Neat & tidy compact par 67 parkland course.Treelined with a great variety of specimen trees .Well maintained with good lush fairways & the whole course was surprisingly green despite the dry spell.Greens ran a little bit slow on the visit but had good surfaces. Nice relaxed feel in the clubhouse.

Shortcomings were ; (a) a noisy nearby dual carriageway. (b) towards the end of the round ,although visually nice, some of the holes were getting a bit samey. (c) Of the 6 par 3's ,4 of them were long irons.I would have preferred shorter yardages on most of them as the short par 3's here were interesting & more fun to play.(d)A few of the fairway bunkers were a bit outdated & not really in play.

I thought it was perfectly fine to play here once, but not quite inspiring enough to make me want to return .

Looks like this chap had a bad experience. I played it recently and found the course to be in excellent condition (especially for the time of year) and the clubhouse very friendly.

We went round in just under 3 and half hours.

No problem.
