Watch out for the speed bumps on Lawton Drive when approaching the Clubhouse!!! This is a good course that could be made better with some improvements to the on-course signs although the staff did tell us where there may be some problems in locating the next tee. We were also told that new clubhouse facilities are in the offing in a different location to the present facilities, so it looks like there is investment being put in. I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to book a round for a Saturday morning. The day we played was probably the wettest in weeks here(took the Scottish weather with me)however, the course was standing up extremely well in the circumstances. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and overall, the only thing that would have improved this excellent day's golf would have been if it hadn't rained all day. We didn't have time to check out the clubhouse facilities as we were running late.

This course is now being looked after by the Jack Barker group and they are doing a fine job of improving the whole of the course. Give it a little more time and it will be a course everyone will enjoy.

Visited this lovely course this afternoon for a solo game. First impressions weren't too good to be honest, the access road to the course begins at the entrance to a council estate and it all looks a bit rough. But dont let that put you off. The course was excellent. Lots of testing par 4's, a couple of par 5's and some nice little 3's. The course is mainly flat, with the exception of the 18th, which is like a cliff face !!! Criticism? Well, as a first timer here, I was disappointed at the total lack of hole information boards and it was sometimes difficult to see where the next tee was. Some youths were hanging around in trees near the 18th, although in their defence there was no abuse from them at all. Value wise, I found it great value for money at £10 (after 1.30pm) and it took me 3 hours to do the 18 holes. I enjoyed every hole tremendously. The course was peaceful and quiet on the whole, and I can, in closing, say that I totally enjoyed this course, its layout and its challenges, and cant wait to return with friends again in the very near future.

Played Nottingham City today and must admit having mixed feelings. This is a course which needs a little TLC. If there could be some investment in areas such as course yardages, tee boxes etc this would be a good challenging course.
My partner and I played today under winter conditions which means the course was a lot shorter than it would be in the summer. It did however, have the full 18 greens open for use and they were surprisingly quick, considering the amount of water we have had recently. The course will I am sure look a lot better in the summer when the trees have some leaves and it will present more of a challenge.
In summary a good value game of golf, £8 using a 241 voucher and a repeat visit in the summer is on the cards

A superb 18 hole golf course close to the heart of the City of Nottingham
