Old Fold Manor Golf Club Player Reports

A high quality course but a tough one. Though there are few truly memorable holes, with the possible exception of the last which requires you to play over a small moat, each of the holes presents enough trouble and variety to keep you more than interested. On the back nine, the fairways get tighter and the degree of difficulty goes up. When I played in late July the greens were true but very quick, adding even more difficulty to the course.

Old Fold Manor is in great condition right now having hosted the Open Qualifier only a couple of weeks ago. It is a very picturesque heathland course and a good test of golf for all levels. A great welcome in the club house and good food makes for a very enjoyable day out without breaking the bank!

A good course but not a great course. Was expecting more when I heard it was an Open Qualifying venue. The pro's would probably feel it was fairly straightforward and not especially memorable. Other than the moat around the 18th green there isn't a lot to get worked up about.
However, we had an enjoyable round there and in terms of value for money, it isn't bad at all for South-East England. As I said, don't go expecting an absolute monster (there are better courses around the area) but the views are pleasant enough and it is a well looked after course with a decent clubhouse.

Not as scenic as Pinner but the slick greens and general condition make this the best 'public' golf course I've played within the M25. Put off the domestic chores and play this course now - you wont be dissapointed.

You won't find a better course for miles.
Immaculate, spongy fairways; fast receptive greens; excellent value for money; congrats if you manage to par the last.
You must play this course whatever standard you are.

I should not be doing this, as Old Fold is a hidden gem.
For twenty quid mid week,(full Green Fee)that
is, you get the best greens in the M25.
Great design premium on thinking your way round, but if you cannot put or don't have a short game look out!
Good clubhouse, with fantastic warm bagettes.
