Location/Description:

Painswick is a Gloucestershire village, known to many as the Queen of the Cotswolds. It is situated between Cheltenham and Stroud on the A46.

From the M5 junction 11A, head towards Cirencester on the A417. Leave the A417 at the first junction (signposted Birdlip). Turn right onto the A46 and head towards Stroud. Painswick is about 6 miles further down.

Approaching Painswick, watch out for Golf Course Road on the right, on a tight bend half a mile before the village. If you overshoot, don't worry - continue to the village and take the first right into Gloucester Road and approach the clubhouse from the other end of Golf Course Road.

It's a hilltop wooded course in an incredibly beautiful setting (bring your camera)with breathtaking views from its highest point - an Iron Age fort that contains four of the eighteen holes! The course is not too long (4900 yards, S.S.S. 65) and featured in Fore! Magazine's '100 Must Play Courses in the British Isles'.

Welcome weekdays and Saturday mornings. Saturday afternoons Sunday mornings and Public Holidays only with member. Trolleys and clubs available for hire.

Societies:

Society Rates (8 or more players)
WINTER: Weekday - £9.00 per person per round.
Saturday - Only limited tee times available late morning £12.50. Bank Holidays - same as Saturday rate.

SUMMER: Weekday - £12.50 per round. Saturday - £15.00 per round.
