Probably my favorite mid-sussex course for three reasons:
-Make no mistake this course is a physical challenge with steep inclines, declines and side slopes you are however rewarded with some very pictureque holes and stunning views of the Sussex countryside, the challenge keeps slow moving hackers away so generally a relaxing round.
-It's downland location generaly means that regardless of recent weather the course will be dry unlike many local clubs.
-Greens are kept in excellent condition, course in general has a mature and well cared for feel.
Perhaps having driven the green on the 18th for a bidie finish has left me with a rose tinted view but regardless get your crampons and mountain boots out and give it a go!

You need the lungs and legs of a mountain goat to get round but it's worth the effort. Some really picturesque holes that use the contours well mixed with a few dull flat ones. Not the most modern clubhouse in the world but nice enough.
