I played the course in absolutely perfect conditions and I played well so naturally I'm going to think it was good. There were hardly any divots at all in the fairways and the greens were flawless, however the bunkers were a bit lacklustre and the tees were very uneven so it sometimes took a few goes at finding a good level spot to hit from.
I have played the course a few times in the past in windy conditions and it is a bit of a different story then. It can be a bit bleak and you are rather exposed but generally it is very good.
I personally think it needs more bunkers as one or two holes are instantly forgetable. The 18th is only 250 yards which is a bit of a shame and I can't stand par 3 opening holes.
Watch out for the almost invisible water hazards that cross two fairways. They are at a dangerous range but as they are not clearly marked from the tee it is difficult to judge your drives. Luckily I managed to clear the one on the third thanks to the conditions being firm.
I seem to have taken a negative turn which is a bit unjust. It's well worth a visit although I'd rather play Stand which is about 15/20 minutes drive away and is better in all aspects.
£30 without a member seems a little on the high side (£35 at the weekend). I'd pay about £20-£25 but no more.

it is a difficult corse for beginners but is satisfying when you get good scores but not easy to repeat it from round to round. friendly staff and good facilities but i would say that because i am a member

A nice test of golf for all standards. Quite a flat course, and most holes ask for a bit of a tonk for your tee shot. There is a nice variation of holes and the club house is comfortable.
