Played course 29 July 07. First thing in the morning after a heavy night of rain. Course is in fantastic condition with the greens in particular running true. They would be even better if golfers repaired their pitchmarks.
A good variation of holes, cutting through the forest for part of the round and then opening up on the flats.
Negative part of the course is it could do with more hazards, and the small number of bunkers are very poor.
Just remember your Red top !!

A quick note having played the course yesterday for the first time...excellent. From the friendly helpful guy in the pro shop, to the groundsmen on the course (who came up with a few tips), the three of us were very impressed with the course. The first nine holes are reasonably straight forward, the 3rd though is a tough par 3 if the pin is set to the front of the green...The last nine holes are LONG ...only 1 par 3 on the back 9, makes for a lot of walking. Talking of walking, being a public course, there are a lot of walkers, and ramblers, and we had no problem until the 7th, when a guy appeared out of the undergrowth with one of our balls, which had overshot the green...but he realised his mistake and we saw the funny side. Only one minor gripe, no ball cleaners, and not much sand. We will play this course again without a doubt.

We found the course to be a challenge for our more wayward players, however, our better players managed to take all the top honours. The cafe serves good rolls and buffet breakfasts. After our round as a society we were made more than welcome in the club house and our evening dinner was excellent. A good venue for a society with straight hitters otherwise take half a dozen spare balls.
