I grew up on this course, being a member at 11 til i left for Uni. Fantastic first 5 holes, the first hole being the most demanding given the tightness of the approach into the green. In the middle of summer it can be very beautiful and very demanding. get through the front nine in a couple over then there are loads of birdie opprtunities coming home.

I have only recently become a member and although the course is particularly challenging for beginners it is still extremely enjoyable. A hilly course with a good variety of holes. My favourite holes are the 4 hardest and the signiture hole, where the tee shot is 80 foot above the green and behind a screen of large trees. The green is surrounded by thick woodland clustered with the infamous rushcliffe pheashants.

PLay there as a member and i have to say it is a very well looked after course. Every hole is demanding a no margin for error. 2 Dravable par 4's but you need to be a straight hitter. Pars 3's very demanding especially the 5th plays down hill loads about 100ft below your tee shot and is 227yards, with out of bounds left and right of the tee shot. slops slighty left. Overall very nice course and great people there.

A very tough course even for the very best, the greens are probably the best I`ve played on, some good par 3`s especially the 14th played downhill over mature trees. Excellent clubhouse and well stocked pro-shop. Made very welcome by the members, always willing to give advice.
