Scarborough North Cliff Golf Club Player Reports
Ian Hookham (England) 08/07/04
Played North Cliff for the first time in five years and was amazed at the imporved state of the course
The greens were excellent and the course was extremely well maintained.
Excellent value for money
Davis Gillies (Scotland) 20/06/04
Took a party of 8 medium to high handicappers to North Cliff on 7th June 2004 as part of our "world tour of Yorkshire". Found the course in excellent condition and we all really enjoyed the experience. Conditions were calm during our visit but I reckon it could become a lot more interesting when the wind blows.
Les (England) 07/08/01
We had a fine day out at this welcoming course. The well-kept greens are quite slick, with some tricky undulations. The best part of the course lies over the main road, with some superb driving holes and some difficult par threes.
Accuracy off the tee is well rewarded on most of the parkland holes but don't disregard the seemingly featureless holes leading down to the clifftop. These can be lethal, as I found to my cost.
Not to be missed, if you're golfing in the area.
Our day there was smoothly organised by Rob of the Croft Hotel, Scarborough.
