Played the course today (week of The Open) and found it in excellent condition. Greens have never been better and the tees and fairways were great. The green keepers have clearly done an excellent job taking care of this easy-walking parkland layout.
Only drawbacks were the surly bar/catering staff who seemed peeved when we asked for sandwiches at lunchtime. Also sarcastic members are thrown in with the green fee (despite my group finishing nearly 2 clear holes ahead of them)
Very enjoyable round at an excellent venue.

NICE COURSE KEPT UPTO VERY WELL. THERE ARE NO WATER HAZARDS WHICH WOULD ADD TO THE PLAYABILITY OF THE COURSE. THE PRICE OF THE FOOD HAS GONE UP IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS AND THE QUALITY HAS GONE DOWN .
