Played this course last month and was particularly impressed with the holes on the clubhouse side of the road, some tricky par 3's over water and greens are in good condition as they should be on a links course. I thought £16 on 2 4 1 was still a bit pricey, as I wasn't too impressed with the holes on the opposite side of the road to the clubhouse, seemed as though they were just cut into a field!
Will return, although do be careful as there are shared fairways making some of the holes pretty much identical!

An excellent day out on a thoroughly enjoyable course. Being used to playing parkland courses my party found some of the clifftop holes quite exacting but found time to sunbathe on the beach (retrieving balls). The clubhouse facilities are quite basic but the food is o,k. and reasonably priced as is the golf. The bird life on the course makes up for any other faults although to be honest there aren,t many.An excellent test of golf for a middle handicapper. Don,t be put off by what others may have said but keep an eye on your ball if the vice captain is about with his mate.We didn,t even get the ball back when we told him he,d played the wrong one.He just told us which area of the sea it was in.The staff were very friendly but the members were somewhat clanish.

Played this course on the last day of 2004, on what I was later told had probably been the best day of the year for golf! Would be a real test with a wind up, as I witnessed when passing the next couple of days. 4th & 7th strange but possibly unique, crossing fairways. 10th and 15th both excellent par 3s. Friendly clubhouse and John the secretery took time out to come over and have a chat after our round. Excellent!

Nice course with two spectacular holes, overall I found the course a bit dangerous with shared fairways, and close proximity to the road. Worth a visit but I wouldnt go out of my way to return.

This is a great course with some of the best holes I have ever played, I would have to say the 15th edged it for me (may be because I won the nearest the pin competition) - No seriously this hole really does deserve a mention, only 104 yrds but playing over the cliffs to the smallest green I have ever seen (not much bigger than a tee box) with little run off at the back before you go over the cliffs.
This is a course I will definetly play again and one than our society wants to return to next year.

I played Seahouses as part of a three day break in Northumberland. Although enjoyable, this was the least impressive of the three courses we played. The main drawback of the course is that there really is not enough room for an eighteen hole layout. The holes around the bay are true links- and very good ones at that, but when you cross the road you are basically playing in a big field. I could not understand the logic of having two tee boxes adjacent (4th & 7th I think) which played across each other to two greens equidistant at the bottom of the field, surely some trees to split the two fairways would give the holes some definition and bring the water hazard into play on the fourth, as it is too easy to play down the centre of the field and give it a wide berth. having said all that, the course was in very good condition and provided a good days golf.
