Played this course last Monday, little wind so the course played quite easy as I also managed to miss all but one water hazzards (2 very lucky escapes). Course was in good condition, it was the first time I had played a marsh land course and enjoyed the experiance. Had there been any wind the course would have played much harded as I found out 2 days later at another sea side course. Fairways and first cut of rough quite generous and well maintained, however water hazzards never very far away. Greens were flat and reasonably quick. Was accompained by a member who showed me arround and ensured I had a pleasent days golf. Large and friendly clubhouse.

Work was being carried out on the course, which did not affect the game, nice to see a club investing in the course.

I played the course for the first time in many years( i was a member for ten years) with another old member,Steve Bedwell)I was amazed at how the course has matured and the new features only add to the degree of difficulty. The only thing that remained the same was the wind!! Great to see some old faces and sad to hear the loss of others.I hope not to leave it so long before I play the'old' course again.

I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF SHEERNESS GOLF CLUB SINCE 1985 THE COURSE IS SEMI LINKS AND IS A GOOD TEST OF GOLF AS IT IS NORMALLY WINDY, THE GREENS ARE GREAT IN THE SUMMER AS ARE THE FAIRWAYS (DONT WORRY YOU DONT LOSE BALLS ON THE FAIRWAY)

A DAY TICKET IS VERY RESONABLE AND THE CLUB BOASTS A FIRST CLASS STEWARD SO IT IS WELL WORTH EATING IN THE CLUB HOUSE A MUST FOR A SOCIETY PACKAGE,THE COURSE RECORD IS 66 HELD BY RYAN WHITINGTON WHO IS CURRENTLY THE CLUB CHAMPION THE PAR IS 72.

THE COURSE MEASURES 6450 YARDS FROM THE WHITE TEES HAS A NICE PUTTING GREEN VERY CLOSE TO THE FIRST TEE CHIPPING IS ALLOWED,A FRIENDLY CLUB WITH GOOD CATERING FACILITIES AND A VERY CHEAP BAR.

Can be a very harsh course, the only one I've ever played where balls have been lost on the fairway!! (serious)!! If the rough is long it's very unforgiving, and if the wind blows it is a very serious test of your golf. Any score you shoot here would be at least 2 or 3 shots better on virtually any other course. The greens are normally in excellent condition, fairways can be a bit difficult in places, the result of it being on marshland which can flood badly during the winter, the course does get closed completely occasionally during the winter months. Reasonable price - but a very serious test of your abilities!!

True test of links golf. Wind important factor. Very friendly club. 17th hole probably the most difficult stroke index 18 around.
