Great course and very challenging. The first hole is a par three right in front of the clubhouse and is very intimidating. This is a James Braid design and is one of his finest, combining links and heathland. Lovely clubhouse and the members will make you feel very welcome. If you love the history of the game you must visit the Ryder Cup room in the clubhouse with its original photos and memorabilia of the two Ryder Cups it hosted.

Played the week of the 1998 Open.
Excellent course with a great mix of different holes.
I would not hesitate to return and play the course again!
