Played after a week of rain in december and the course was still in very good condition. The greens were absolutely superb, the best I have ever played on during the winter. great value with a 2-4-1 voucher. holes 10-12 are visually excellant.

Played Staverton as part of the DMC Golf Day on Friday 22nd July. The whole event was fantastic even though we didn't finish in the prizes! The course was interesting and in good condition and will definately play it again - bit of advice to anyone who enjoy's playing good courses as part of a competition then you should consider playing in one of DMC Golf's Days. We've also booked a golf break with them which is the best value we could find and great service.

Just played the course in June & it was a great test of Golf. The course was in very good condition with some great looking holes.
On the plus side: No two holes are the same & the facilities were excellent. On the negative side: The tee's don't get watered & are rock solid & some of the bunkers don't have enough sand in them.

Played Staverton in March. It was rather wet over the course and it would benefit with paths between greens & T's. Course was long and undulating but a great test of golf with a variety of holes and scenery. The greens were in great shape even accounting for the rain.
The Hotel was rather business like, but the food / carvery superb. Beer prices were a bit steep.

Played here as a society of 20 guys mid July 2004. From the welcoming introduction, through the course marshal and onto the course it’s self this was a excellent day. It would be hard to find any thing to be critical about; the whole course was in great condition, particularly the greens.
Whilst there was another society out there we hardly saw them and it was one of the few courses where the shout of “fore” was rarely heard, due I believe to the excellent design and layout. The three course carvery meal was very good and the service great. A few comments about bar prices being on the high side, and it appeared members had their own section and prices, so be it.
Overall, a very good value day on a golf course playing at its best.

Played the course in late April this year as part of a society 2 day package. The Course was challenging but the greens were very poor.

I am a member, it is a great course. Both as a junior and an adult. The staff are superb and the facilities are too. The food is brilliant and there is a great range of golf equipment to buy.

Excellent Greens, friendly staff challenging course, great weather and good facilities.
Stayed at the Hotel and played on three consecutive days during June 2002. Staff in Pro shop and on course could not be faulted. Members, including the Captain, were friendly both in the clubhouse and on course. The clubhouse staff were friendly but not the most efficient. Food in Clubhouse was OK if not original. The Halfway house was very welcome and a nice touch.
The course was in Good condition and will I think improve even more as they have recently put in a new irrigation system. A few fairways were a little bear in places but this is in the process of being rectified and they were playing preferred lies as a result. Having said that the only hole where preferred lies was required was the eighteenth. Looking at the card some of the holes look quite short but a lot of the greens are protected by bunkers. The greens were in excellent condition and fast. It pays to keep the ball on the fairway because playing from the rough makes it very difficult to get the ball to stop on the green. Bunkers are good and consistent.
All in all a great weekends golf and a course which challenged all 4 of us. I play of 14 with the others playing off 12, 18 and 28. The course set a challenge to all of us but with some thought you should be able to play to your handicap or maybe even a bit better. A great course for a weekend away.
Sunday Night at £60 for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast and 2 rounds of Golf is a fantastic deal.

Having played the course on the 24th march 2002 I found it to be in good condition, although I think the fairways may suffer if very wet, the greens are immaculate and fast. What makes it an interesting course is the elevation changes at 2,3,6,10 and 11, hole 11 I thought was quite spectacular but all 18 are good. The only down side is the amount of time it takes to play, our round taking 4hrs 40mins teeing of at 11.00 waiting on every shot it makes for a long day, the last time I played here in August it was pretty much the same.

Really good value for money. A course of great interest, with water in play on a number of holes. Great condition. A course to come back to many times.

May 1999\r\nFabulous condition. All holes different amd memorable. Long, big greens/bunkers. Lovely countryside.\r\nNew 18th hole tough. Friendly clubhouse. Driving range and 2 putting greens.\r\nGood, 9/10
