This is a real find, tucked away in surburbia and only about 7 miles from Central London. The course is quite tough with some very long par 4's and even the par 3's are no pushover and my guess is you will need every club in the bag and more. The greens are as good as I have found anywhere this year, running true with lots of subtle turns. The views over London are magnificent and part of the course follows the Grand Union Canal.
The clubhouse staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and our breakfast was about as good as it gets for 5.00,our visit was a late idea and we were squeezed in at late notice.green fee prices were very reasonable even though we played midweek and not on the public day which I believe is only 15.00 which must equate to the best value for miles.Everyone in our group will return without doubt, thanks Sudbury top notch

Have played many times in this course as I have a few friends, including my father who are members. Really tough course if the wind blows. In the winter, you tee off from the 10th, which is a 450 yards+ par 4 without wind. No wonder on the card it is stroke index 1. Lovely view of London from the 16th tee which is a little par 3 that can wreck your scorecard but then there is the 17th which is probably the longest par 4 I have ever played. Uphill all the way. Im always happy with a 6 and if Im lucky I'll get a 5. All in all, a good test for really keen golfers like myself. The only bad point I have is that you have to be careful with the 'veteran' members. They can be a bit snobish and that can put you off whilst playong in this course. All in all, I give it two thumbs up!!

Played on a monday (£15.00). Hammered it down with rain but course took it really well. Greens are very good - slick and true - credit to the groundstaff. Good mix of holes with 7 par 4's over 400yds but just one par 5 (short but good bunkering). Nice par 3's especially 16th, teeing off high to green 160 yds downhill. Good views of nw london too. Typical Harry Colt greens - raised from the fairways, so club selection vital. Green Fees are £25.00 tues-fri, but members(and guests) only at w/ends.

Played the course on August 28th 2003 with my son, on a miserable, wet, but warm afternoon. The summer has been very dry so the rain was needed, just a shame it was that afternoon.
It was the first time we had played the course and the weather did not dampen our mood, just our clothes. The course was in very good condition, the greens were fantastic, a lot of credit to the course management staff.
The layout was very good no boring holes-18 entertaining tracks. In a couple of years when the young trees have grown this will be a formidable adventure.
I hope to play it again on a dry day.
By the way the pro shop was friendly and courtous, and when my wife did not want to start because of the weather there was no issue in converting her green fee in to an unbrella for me.
A good place!!
One suggestion-convert the pratice area into a driving range......
