Steven Adams (England) 30/04/08
Played Swindon for the first time 24/4/08 and was impressed. The course is a toughie. All holes apart from 1 and 2 are in the trees and if you go in them theres only 1 shot - sideways!! Greens were good for the time of year, if a litle slow. But a great course and well worth playing. Take a chainsaw!!

Played at Swindon in Aug 06. Exceptional course with plenty of variety. A midlands Grantown or Boat of Garten. A bargain on 2F1 for a days golf (£18). Starter very friendly. Catering staff seemed to have changed just before we visited, and the lunchtime meal portions were piffling and poor vfm. Shame as this was the only disappointment, but a local favourite and we will definately return.

Played this course on 01/08/04. Hadn't played the course for a few years, fut it was in fantastic condition (notwithstanding a little repair work being done on greens 3 and 17). Excellent all round test of you game - the fairways are such that you need to have control off the tee or you're in trouble. Highlight was my 3 on 6 but thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Definitely on my list for potential membership when finances (and wife!) allow.

played today 08/09/03 didnt need a tee time but felt we needed one as on the first tee was backing up.this course will test all your skills and you do need a game plan . my advise is as follows take long irons 3,4,5 off the tee where the tree lines come into play, open fairways 1st,3rd,5th,7th,11th,13th,16th,17th and 18th you can take a wood.the fairways were very burnt and the greens werent up to standard as a member told us that they had been alot better a couple of weeks ago.we paid £20 for a round but felt they should reduce this as we have played better courses for the money.
MARTIN RAINER (U.K.) 18/09/02
A COURSE THAT WILL TEST ALL FACETS OF YOUR GAME, INCLUDING YOUR PATIENCE!!! I'VE PLAYED IT NUMEROUS TIMES AND HAVE YET TO MASTER IT. MOST OF THE FAIRWAYS ARE TREE LINED AND EVEN WITH A DECENT TEE SHOT YOU CAN STILL HAVE NO SHOT TO THE GREEN AS YOUR VIEW OF THE GREEN IS TOTALLY BLOCKED OUT BY THE TREES. TO SCORE WELL YOU HAVE TO KEEP YOUR TEE SHOTS IN PLAY AND REALLY PLOT AND GRIND YOUR WAY ROUND. BELIEVE ME IT IS VERY EASY TO BECOME FRUSTRATED AS IT IS NOT ALWAYS THE FAIREST OF COURSES. HOLES TO NOTE ARE THE PAR 5 5TH, PAR 4 9TH WHICH PRESENTS A REALLY DIFFICULT TEE SHOT AND THE PAR 5 16TH. IF YOU PLAY TO YOUR HANDICAP ROUND HERE YOU HAVE PLAYED REALLY WELL. MY ADVICE WOULD BE LEAVE YOUR DRIVER AT HOME!!!
