The green fee is now £24 during the week, not £20, but that didn't matter as it is a superb course and well worth the money. From the clubhouse (where the sausage sandwiches were excellent)the course looks straightforward, but this is misleading as it really gets going after about the 4th. From there until about 16th, the fairways are mostly covered in all manner of undulations, and in some cases craters, which combined with the fast true greens, and plenty of trees make it a strange, and yet appealing mix of parkland and links style golf. I've not played a course like it before but I will definately be back. My only gripe would be that the at least 3 of the par 3's seemed shorter than shown on the markers or the card; Either that or my 9 iron was flying 30 yards further than usual.

This is now the fourth time I have played this course and each time it has been in superb condition.......It always helps to have good greens and these are......Will be back next year to play again.

The golf course has undergone a number of changes in the last year by our course manager which involve 2 new holes being made out of the old practice area and the taking out of hole 12. This has lenghtened the course and these holes are pretty challenging and i strongly recommend play the course.

What an enchanting course and such a friendly atmosphere.
Yesterday evening, held up by a traffic jam on the twelfth, we decided not to rush those ahead, electing instead to cut across and play the 16th before finishing for the evening. There we met two members who were also cutting in. We both tried to out-etiquette each other in insisting that the other pair went first before finally electing to play the hole as a four. This we did whilst engaging in various chit chat, after which we were invited for a pint in the club house.
A delightful end to a lovely evenings golf.

A lovely course. Starts a little tame (which is fine by me) getting tougher and more interesting half way through the front 9. Like Honiton it's near neighbour, the views are outstanding on a clear day from the clubhouse. We played on Sunday morning finishing around lunchtime. The sun shone, a jazz band played on the lawn overlooking the 18th, the food was good and reasonably priced and the members were warm and welcoming. Looking forward to playing this course again soon.
