Temple Golf Club Player Reports
Kilian Hynes (England) 05/08/04
Beautiful views make this a very enjoyable course to play. It is relatively short by modern standards and the layout seems strange at times. I played the course in early April and it was not in great condition. I do not think this course is at its best in the Winter. Fairways are tree lined but wide.
With sensible golf one should score well on this course.

A lovely course that is never too busy. A shame the golf is marred by sad and oudated ideas regarding players attire and the attitude of some of Temples' members. Knee length socks have and never will be a good idea. Electricity seems to have made its way to Temple, how about a small spinkling of the remainder of the 20th centuries ideas?

I believe the remark regarding a strange layout was intended for the Aspect Park GC which is a few miles down the road, which does indeed have a somewhat orienteering feel to it. Same does not apply at Temple.

Very attractive course and clubhouse makes for a very pleasant round. Course is tight, especially back nine, but very well maintained and uncrowded.
Memebers can be a little 'old school' for my liking though.
Paul Mardon (UK) 28/04/00
What planet is this bloke on. The tee boxes are easy to follow. Played this course and feal it is a truley traditional golf club and an excellent test of golf. Drains well and for the time of year the course was in excellent condition.
Well done Temple staff
Adrian (UK) 14/04/00
bizarre course layout requires Ordanance survey map and compass to locate next tee; Otherwise acceptable golf in quiet location.
