My wife and me played this excellent parkland course today (27.07.2007). The welcome was okay and cool. The pro shop is little but well sorted. The members are quiet and helpful. Definitely we enjoyed the day on this well groomed course (tee boxes and greens were excellent - the fairways quite brown, because of this summer season).

I joined West Kent as a member in April 2005 and have never since regretted it. The value for money (especially for the juniors) is out of this world. The atmosphere around the club is excellent and both members and guests are made to feel at home. The condition of the course is brilliant and you can never have any complaints about the conditions after a bad round. The greens are excellent and very fast during the summer months. Overall I have been very happy to be a member at West Kent for just under a year and will be re-joining in April 2006.

I was very disappointed with this course. My friend wanted to play the course as she is looking for a course local to where she works to play in the summer and to also play in comps.
Day started with no pro in the shop so we didn't know if we could play even though we had booked a tee off time. Pro turned up 15mins later, and told us the green fees were £40, even though on the day all 18 greens were out of play, due to frost ??? we agreed in the end to pay £20 each. No current course planner available, but Pro gave us an old one. Course is very small for big medium to big hitters, drive and wedge on 70% of holes. Also 70% of holes are par 4, only 2 Par 3's. Tested nearly all greens on the way around, and they were perfect, due to not being played on I guess.
Nice surroundings, course is set in a valley and the views are nice, club house is nice and were made to feel welcome.
Would I play there again ? No to expensive for what the course is, and also very boring to play Par 4's time after time, with dog legs, many traps, and also mostly striaght.
If you want to spend a lot and be bored at the end of 18 holes go ahead.
