Wexham Park Golf Course Player Reports

Have played both the red and green 9 hole courses recently. Both are great value for money and ideal for the beginner/high handicapper. Previous comments re the greens being bobbly are true, and a general lack of care by some players (absolutely loads of divots on the fairway and ball marks on the greens left unrepaired) let down what otherwise is a great place to play. We found the players and pro shop to be very friendly and welcoming and will return to tackle the blue course at some point in the future...probably when the ground dries up as last weekend was a mudbath!

As previous reviewers have said, a great value for money course, with different loops to play to add a bit of variety. Played the full 18 hole course, which isn't long, but has some interesting holes.
What does spoil it slightly is one or two blind shots and 'quirky' holes. The greens aren't the best, someone in the club was raving about them, saying they were the best they'd ever been - I don't know anout that - they are rather lush and bobbly.
I think once you've got used to the speed of the greens and you've played a few times to work out the little quirks that exist and know where to hit the ball, it could be quite a fun course to play. It is good value for money at under £15 and has an excellent bar and clubhouse, as well as a driving range. The relaxed dresscode and large numbers of youngsters isn't everyone's cup of tea, but is a sign that they are willing to invest in the future. If they could get the course into a better shape, mayne lengthen a few holes and get the par up to 70/71, they would have a very good course here!

Great value for money. Played in January so it was wet and cold but no temp greens - just a few tee mats. I thought it was a good test for any golfer with ditches running across a lot of the fairways and trees to shoot over to reach some of the greens. Makes you think a lot about positioning of tee shots. Long par 5 15th hole was a good test - right into the wind when we played. Most of the holes are close to each other so there wasn't much of a walk between greens and the next tee. Our fourball whipped round in 4 hours. £15.00 for a weekday - well worth a visit. Clubhouse had water supply problems when we played - not their fault.

Played the blue course (18 holes)on a Friday evening which represented excellent value for money at £15.
Although only a short track,5,200 yards, with only 2 par 5's, 6 par 3's and no par 4's over 400 yards - The course is set up to protect itself a little with most holes having bunkers protecting the entrance to the green.
Some of the par 3's also have very narrow greens front to back. The 5th is probably the nicest, although only a wedge, there is water at the front with the gree gathering towards this.
As written below, there is a good mix of holes, with 1 and 18 pretty and tree lined.
Staff very friendly and relaxed in pro shop and no attitude and snobishness as seems to be creeping into a lot of places I have played recently.
I would definitely recommend a round here - you should score well. Leave the driver at home but make sure you are on good terms with the lob wedge....

Having been a member of Wexham Park for 9 months now, I can say that I have yet to find better, in terms of green fees and course condition. There are many challenging holes, rather than an up and down golf course, which few need the driver to come out of the bag.
Everyone in the Pro shop contains extensive knowledge of the course, and of the contents of the shop.
Bravo gentlemen.

Just a few comments about this course. The comments above could apply to one of the three courses at wexham. The green course is a wide open 9 hole course great for high handicappers and beginners. The red course is challenging 9 hole with some nice holes. The blue course is the full 18.
I have been playing here for about a year and can thoroughly recommend all three courses.
