Played early on a Sunday morning using the 2 fore 1 scheme.
Found the course to be well maintained but not too difficult, although many holes have slight doglegs which add to the challenge of an otherwise flat course.
Facilities also very good, although I feel only using a discount scheme would you get value for your money.

Unusual circumstances to be playing in, but it speaks volumes for this course: Last Thursday at quarter past 6 in the evening two of us decided to take advantage of the twilight golf offer at the course. Turned up at half 6, professional shop closed, asked bar stewardess who said it was fine to go on and didn't ask for any cash (trusted us to get in touch with the pro the next day).
Played 18 holes in just under 3 and a half hours for £14. Superb course, great condition greens were perfect to play on not too fast just right. Well thought out holes, tricky narrow fairways and a decent challenge. The finishing holes are long and card ruiners, I was 5 over coming to the 16th, proceeded to hack my way through the last 3 with DB, TB, DB finish!
Didn't take away from the great round we had, members asked us how we got on the course explained to them and they were extremely pleasant and kind. Two members even invited us to join them. All around the course were friendly and courteous what an advert for the place.
Going into pay the professional this afternoon in the hope I'll get more of the same treatment next time round! Great place great course great people, highly recommended.

We made a Society visit to Withington on 21st April 2006.
The welcome and service from all staff and members was second to none with a few small touches which made everyone feel at home.
Excellent facilities both on and off the course.
The course was a bit damp underfoot but that is nobody's fault and it did not detract from the day. In fact it dried out well during the day and the greens were superb. I can only imagine them being like snooker tables in the summer.
There are plenty of narrow driving holes and you would not know that the M60 motorway is so close on a couple of holes. Excellent last 3 holes to finish.
All in all a top Society venue where the welcome will be enjoyed as much as the golf. We hope to return in the future.

This course is in superb condition. Although the course is fairly easy, it was a pleasure to have a round. It is flat and the fairways are quite forgiving. Some interesting holes and would be recommended to a society as it is not to difficult. The staff made our society very welcoming.

I've played this course twice and regard it as rather "old fashioned". Its mature but flat and uninspiring. In places its close to the motorway, which can be a bit of a distraction. The course is obviously subject to flooding during the wet months (flood plain) and the green staff have had to replace a lot of turf on the fairways this year. Having said that I did find the course to be a good test and I appreciated its condition (a credit to the club). I think the course layout is dull in places (up and down). I must try the one over the road next time I'm in the area.

Great facilities.... super Par 3 to start...
Greens and Fairways absolutely top notch...
Watch out for out of Bounds were you least expect them around the turn... A credit to the members...
