Played yesterday using 2 fore 1 voucher at £7-50 each had to be the bargain of the year!Course was in great condition after all the rain recently with every green in play.Fairways a bit wet in places but still in good nick.
First time I had played there so my overall views are thus:
Excellent course with challenges a plenty.Accuracy a must. Some longish walks between green and next tee.Not too much rough.Marvellous views over the valley.Friendly club staff and members.
Hard to fault in anyway and cant wait to play there again!!!!

Paid £15 for a round on a fine day and enjoyed the course for what it is. Fairly easy tightish course which lacks any signature hole and is shoehorned into an area previously quarried.
Course condition average although the greens had been treated and were difficult to putt we weren't informed of this which to my mind you should be. If in the area the nearby Calverly course is more testinmg and interesting.

I really enjoyed my recent visit to this club. For £12.50 weekend twighlight rate (after 2pm just now), the value for money is second to none. 2-Fore-1 accepted on Sundays and weekdays, but only on standard fee, so it would actually work out more expensive. The Pro was honest enough to advise me to save both my voucher and a couple of quid!
The course is hilly, but the walking isnt too bad (and Im not in great shape). The variety of holes on this course was excellent. Each tee brought a new challenge, which were enhanced further by the height changes.
Star holes for me were the 6th - a long par 5 dropping away from the tee and climbing slowly to a distant green, the 12th - another par 5 with a tempting dogleg and an approach so well countoured it wouldnt look out of place at Augusta, and the 13th and 15th, short par 3s with well thought out greenside bunkers.
My only (slight) criticism is that the 14th tee shot (also a fine hole) is more or less over the 13th green. This can cause delays or even worse, injuries if your drive is just slightly off to the left.
One suggestion. The long 16th plays over a crest just before the green, and many second shots will be landing just before or just over this ridge. I would suggest a bell be placed near the green, perhaps on the way to the 17th tee.
Overall, the course was in superb condition, there really was nothing of note amiss. The clubhouse was very nice (although I didnt eat there, the food smelled great!), and the staff and members were very friendly. Mens locker room upstairs though, and I didnt see any showers (although I didnt spend long looking around).
Practice area good, complete with nets, but a bit short at 150 yards.
Great club, great course, great day. If we werent moving away, I would consider membership. Its that good!

a must is to hire a buggy, the most tiring course ever played. par 4,s very short, some drivable. very scenic but hard to keep ball on severe sloping fairways. course planner much needed.

After playing Woodhall Hills several times I would strongly reccommed to everyone that wants a fair test of golf on a fantastic golf course to come and have a knock. Everyone is polite and friendly (especially the junior captain) and I was made to feel most welcome, well done woodhall!
