My friends and I are regular visitors to the Cumbria region, but in October 2004 we paid our first visit to Workington Golf Club. From the staff in the Pro's shop to the ladies who provided our excellent food & drink in the '19th hole' we were made to feel extremely welcome. The course itself is a gem, and provided us with an excellent test (we are all mid-handicappers). The condition of the course was first class, and we were impressed with the dilligence of the groundstaff. If you find yourself playing, or planning to play golf in the area, Workington is well worth a visit.
