Play this golf course once a year and although it has some nice holes is a pretty standard layout. The bottom part of the course can get very wet after rain. The one redeeming factor is usually its condition.Played a week ago and what a dissapointment.Seems as though the mowers must have broken down. The greens needed cutting and rolling and your ball was half covered with grass on the tees it was so long!We mentioned the state of the course half way round and all we got was a shrug of the shoulders in the pro shop, dont know how they had the nerve to charge full price. This course rates itself very highly,i and my playing partners do not.

Having played this course twice now in the last few months i'm still finding it hard to judge it. What makes it so hard is A) the price and B) i've found the club a little pretentious on both occasions. Having said that i did, as ever play with a 2-4-1 voucher so the £16 (week day price) was about right in my eyes. The layout of the course is very easy to follow and they have tried to give this course some character by using the natural contours of the land. There are plenty of doglegs to please people who like to sharpe their shots. The par 5's are all very realistic par chances, but the the par 3's aside from 6th which is a great test of anybody's yardage are a bit to similar for my liking. The par 4's are shaped well and are mostly different in nature. I found the greens hard to judge as the 2nd time i played they were in the middle of maintenance work. Having had my little moan at the start i think its also fair to say that with a lot more love and attention over the coming years it could turn in to an a smashing test of your golf.

A super course, with some good views. Played on Saturday afternoon, using 2 fore 1 vouchers, which made it excellent value for money at £19 each instead of £38. Excellent use of the land and a friendly bar and staff. Looking forward to returning in the not too distant future.

drove from london to meet old school chum to play this course as he has moved to swindon and had my first hole in one on the third !!!!
nice " modern" track skillful use of water on the par 3's and on the approach at 17
very nice bar and practise facilities
friendly pro shop lot more laid back than some of the stuffy surrey pros who look down their nose if you dare to play their course as a paying guest ! worth the trip not just for the "ace"

I played wrag barn for the first time on the first really nice day of the year, and what a brilliant course! I'm not extremely partial to newer courses, so when I heard this one was quite new, I was skeptic. There was no need. A very challenging, well maintained course. Love the par 3 #5!

Played this course in mid August and found it to be in very good condition. Unlike many of the 'newer' courses, it felt like it had been there for some years. The layout is an interesting one and uses the contours of the land to good effect - a stiff test but not too severe. The surface of the greens were excellent although I found them quite difficult to read.(Probably just me!) I travelled 60 odd miles to play here and had a great day. Definitely on my 'to play again' list!
