I have played this course twice this year, alonside my fellow golfers. We are not handicapped so to speak, but all hit around the 90 mark.Where do i start? Price and value for money, that would be a big yes! Food and service again top notch. The course (main) no problem, has its moments but over all a pleasure.Personal note it was a plesent surprise to see a marshall on the first aswell as around the course making sure all was ok. We will be visiting alot more this year and hopefully next.
PS This may not be everyones dream course but it is woth the visit and I think you will not be disapointed!

i played this course again about 3 weeks ago and was very dissapointed with its condition ,
there were still 7 temporary tees and for the start of may this shouldn't be happening
thay have raised there price to £21 for the weekend and to be honest there are much better courses in the area that you can play for less
overall i was dissapointed with the course and will not e visiting it again in the near future
shame really as it used to be enjoyable to play

i played the course the other day for the first time since last summer and not much has changed, the course, club etc are all excellent and for the price it is well worth a visit,
so it does have lots in its favour but only for two shortfalls.
the course bar one or two holes is very easy and its normally flooded with players, which means you are surrounded by people on every hole..
my advice is to play (if you can) early morning in the week, if not leave an extra hour on the game because you will need it...

This is one of the best courses in Milton Keynes , It is well looked after and the staff are friendly.
Its quite a short course with only 2 par 5's both on the front nine and 5 par 3's , so if your not a big hitter like me then you should be on or near most greens in two.
Only problem really is the duck muck around the 7th and 9th green.
Hardest hole for me seems to be the 11th , dont know why its only a 418 yard par 4 thats straight from tee to green going over a rise into a dip then up again.
No problems with winter leaves they seem to sweep them into a pile .

Have played this course a bunch of times as it's the best muni in MK. There's a fair bit of thinking involved if you want to shoot low. Plenty of doglegs, plenty of water in the right (or wrong!) places and lots of big trees to negotiate.
Good points: As above. It can be challenging in all conditions. The best driving range in the area, plus a putting green, par 3 course and even a pitch 'n putt type track to hone the short game. Great teaching staff, decent bar (food is usually lovely). Great value for money even at weekends.
Bad points: Some of the tee boxes were very rough, not always the courses fault obviously, plenty of hackers doing their best to redesign them methinks. Fairways and greens can be rock hard in dry weather, and there's the geese... Usually they move out of the way on fairways and greens, but leave behind plenty of 'movable obstructions', especially on 7th green.
Overall it's well worth a visit.

Wavendon is an excellent course to learn to play golf on. With respect, for any players with 15 handicap or less, I dont think they would really enjoy it because of the comparitive lack of challenge.
But for beginners, or older players who struggle on the longer courses, this is excellent, you have to use every club in bag, and a mixture of doglegs left, right, and some nice risk and reward short holes. There is some nice use of water features too, the drive off the 7th tee has been much more challenging since they made the water larger, and to reach the green in two (for players who hit a draw like me), you have to cut a tight line over that. The greens are generally ok, dont forget they arent aiming at scratch golfers, and fairways are nice - beware in summer, it can get quite dry.
The main par 3 course is also a good good test - but at the tail of summer it can get extremly dry and hard to judge because of the lack of irrigation and - with respect - the sheer quantity of hackers!
Wavendon is what it is supposed to be, probably the best course to learn golf in the area - once you can notch under 110 round wav - try some more testing course like 3 Locks!
