Played the course with 3 friends today (15.04.07) for the first time. The front nine greens were a little bumpy, which made putting all the more difficult.
The back nine greens were in better condition and helped to achieve a more true roll.
Overall, the course layout was quite nice and made you think on your shot selection on many occasions. Some of the tee areas were not in the best of conditions, but there was noticable works going on to improve tees and bunkers on many of the holes.
I played with a member and it cost £20, which I thought was a fair price for this course.
Though the lower handicap player would probably find this course a little easy in places, I think it is a fairly tough test for the mid to high handicappers out there.
The 19th hole and clubhouse was very nicely presented, with good service and great food.
I would be happy to play this course again.

This is a great course to play in the winter. Played in mid January after 2 weeks of constant rain fall and you wouldn't have even thought that it had ever rained. The fairways were perfectly dry, all 18 normal greens were in operation, and winter tees were only in operation on about half of the holes.
The course is every open and you would do very well to lose a ball here. The downside of this is that the course is quite exposed and lacks a little bit of character.
However, this is not to say there are not some challenging holes.
The 8th is a 90 degree dogleg which requires a long iron to the very corner of the dog leg, otherwise you will be hitting directly over trees and two separate lakes for your approach shot.
The 15th also has a lake guarding the green which comes into play if you are not down the left half of the fairway off the tee.
The greens were quite small which provided good protection from the open lay out and lack of deep rough.
I would say I would play here again, and you will be hard pressed to find anywhere in better condition to play in the winter months.

A interestingly designed parkland course which although it is fairly forgiving, and fairly short off the yellows, it makes you think. A good example is the 7th which is the shortest par 4 on the course, but has a diagonal series of bunkers going all the way across the fairway, what to do lay up or carry. I have played the course several times and find it one of the best draining courses I have come across. Pleasant clubhouse and bar and excellent value on a 241,

Even though the ground was hard with frost the course played excellent. We played in April 06 and the greens were in top condition and fast. The food and service were 1st class, We would play there again

Fantastic course! A good mixture of long and short holes, challenging but rewarding at the same time. Drains really well in the winter months, putting most courses to shame. Highly recommended, very friendly staff, good catering facilities too.

The course is a very hard one to play for high handicappers as there are lots of OB but if u can kept the ball on the fairway the course is pretty easy. The course is always in good condition but sometimes the fairways are a bit rough due to rain
