What an experience!
From the moment we were greeted by the staff at the bag drop, the very helpful Lady Starter (who gave us some useful pointers), through to the guy in the changing room, we were made to feel at home.
The course was in very good condition despite the recent wet weather. The greens are quick but true (although not the easiest to read on occasions!).
The bunkers here are legendry and, at first sight, seem too numerous. However, they do make you think, and prudent play is rewarded - cavalier play is fun too!
Although not cheap at all, certainly one of the best value "top of the range" courses in England that I have played.

A tough course from the start. At the first hole you have to decide just how far down the fairway you want to go, but also how many bunkers you're prepared to cut across to achieve it.
From there on it's all about avoiding the sand, of which there is a LOT.
I don't remember any holes that I felt ruined the course and it was in as good a condition as any place I've ever played. The greens were excellent, and for once I couldn't blame any bad putts on anything other than my own shortcomings.
I know it's not cheap, but for Chart Hills it's certainly worth the money.

Fantastic course. My local pro said this was his favourite course in the country. He might be right! Greens were perfect and design excellent. No weak holes anywhere on the course. We played the blues and it was a challenge but a very fair challenge. We all left with the impression that £45 for a weekday round was actually very good value for money. Go play!

A 'must play' course. Superb facilities for dining, leisure and practice. The condition of the course is immaculate, the greens in particular. There are no ordinary holes at Chart Hills, each has been thought out and each provides its own feature or challenge. If there is a course in the South East of equal standard that offers the same or better value, I'd be surprised. Don't forget to bring your sand wedge !

Played this course off the yellow tees which were perfect for a relatively high handicapper like myself.
The course was in perfect condition and a joy to play some holes were quite daunting but, with a cautious attitude decent scores can be made.
My favourite holes were the 9th and 17th.

Going back to play here this evening. Really looking forward to it as I heard earlier this week that the course is really in good shape.
Will remember to play the 12th a little differently THIS time!
