ill be honest, if your a member of a private club, dont even waste your time, tee's are long and untrimmed, greens are bobbly and small, fairways are tight andrough is uncut, bunkers have barely no sand, and unraked, but i dont blame the green keepers for giving up, after 7pm when the shop closes people jump on for free and junior scallys put holes all over the greens and fairways, however if you are a beginner, theres no better place to start, holes are short, some challenging and theres no chance of humilliation on the first tee. the price is also very unfair about 3-4 pound for a junior in winter time it used to be 1 pound twenty 4 years ago much has changed shame the course wouldnt!, nowhere to use the toilet really, is usually locked and a few of the holes your so close to property you are scared to swing with confidence and usually go on the road and end up scaring yourself, the fairways are small and close together, FORE will be heard a few times, i think its dangerous myself!
often get que jumpers and slow play

The course at Warren Golf Club is a challenging 9 holer links, which features some cracking holes. Considering the amount of golfers who use it the condition of the course is always above average.
It can be quite difficult to locate; there are no signposts as far as I know, and the entrance is only small so can be easily missed. The car park is quite small which sometimes means parking on the road outside.
There is a decent pro shop which sells basic golfing essentials and includes the rental of golf trolley's. There's no putting green or practise area.
Usually a queue develops at the first so expect a wait, especially on weekends.
Holes to look out for -
3rd - A long, difficult par 4, players must hit the ball a fair distance to avoid a blind second. Out of bounds lies down the left, the green is worthy of any champiosnhip links course!!
5th - Tiny par 4, players can either lay up short of the mound leaving a blind second or go for it, hoping the ball will trickle down the slope. An interesting, fun hole.
9th - The last is a par 5 with out of bounds all the way down the left. Tee shots can go over it, shortening the hole somewhat. Longer hitters may get there in two however the better way to negotiate is to leave a pitch on for your third making a birdie opportunity possible.
The course is a good test of golf, especially in the wind. It does get extremely busy however, and there is a lack of space meaning fairways are sometimes shared by golfers playing other holes. The course doesn't operate a booking system also so expect a long wait on the first tee.
If you manage to get on at a quiet time the course is a cracker and great value for money, however avoid at busier times.
