Moors Valley Golf Course Player Reports
Neil Dixon (England) 26/11/03
Played this last week and was disappointed despite winning 6 & 5. I knew from other feedback that it was a short course but they had moved most of the tees forward by up to 50-60 yards turing into an even shorter course and in the case of the 3rd turing a good looking longish dog-leg left into a shortish stright par 4.
Did have a couple of good long holes and the greens were good. Setting is nice in the middle of a country park and even has a small gauge railway so would be good for the family in the summer. No real club-house witha small 'cafe' providing after golf sustinance.
Probably good for a holiday course if you are in the area with the family but not worth a long drive to otherwise.

Played Moors Valley on Sunday 29 June, 2003 (group of eight, from 6 to 12 handicaps). I highly recommend this course. Although it isn't particularly long it still offers a good test of golf, helped in no small part by the excellent greens, and offers superb value for money! Be sure to pay it a visit if you are in the area.
Bob Ashton (Hampshire) 25/06/02
Played the course last week. Catering staff were very helpful - the breakfast baguette was excellent! The course was very good however you have to be accurate all the time as the rough just seems to swallow the stray shots. I was very impressed with the greens which were receptive and true.
This has to be one of the best Pay and Play courses in the South of England and I for one will definitely be going back for another round.

Moors Valley Golf club represents a challenge for the beginner and the more experienced. The country park provides the perfect background. The green fees are excellent value for money.
Marc Elleker (UK) 08/02/02
A very good course and a excellent day out for the family. You can play golf and they can walk around the country park which consists of play trail(lots of stuff to climb on and crawl though), 2 big play parks, mini stream railway, lakes,BBQ,fishing and generaly having a good time.I highly recommend this place for golf and a family day out.
Arnold Palmer (UK) 06/07/00
Good course which provides excellent value for money. You can put the family in the activity park and then go and play golf ! The only downer was that the bar closes very early and was shut when we finished. Bad news on a very hot day.
