What a course found it most enjoyable, greens were nice and quick fareways in excellent condition, bunkers all raked and free from debris, very friendly folk, starter was very helpful, cant wait to play it again. 100% to the green keepers.

I stayed at the hotel and played over a very wet weekend with a group of mixed ability golfers. All enjoyed playing the course, especially the high handicappers. It was in good general condition (ignoring flooding greens and standing water on fairways - the weather was exceptional). The course is packed into too small an area and there are too many very short par 4s. However, there are also many good holes with elevation changes, ponds and ditches to negotiate. The scenery is outstanding and there are several manificent specimin trees around. We came across some unfriendly members who demanded to be let through despite the entire course being full. The hotel and food were very good.

Played in a six ball on the 09/08/05 on a 2 for 1 voucher, just as well I would have been very upset to have to shell out the full £40. The course is very pretty but is well worn and quite tatty in places. We got as far as the third when the green staff decided to dump sand, (why in Aug with no rain beats me), on all the greens, making putting a joke, no explanation, no reduction in fees. This is a very tight course and with the holes running parallel to each other in a relatively tight space, take your crash helmet! In summary some interesting holes, but definitely not worth the price, with or without the sand.

Played here on a golf break in July 2005. The course was suffering from lack of rain, and most of the fairways were very hard and brown, although the greens were well watered and rather slow for the time of year. The hotel and surroundings are lovely, but overall the course feels a bit squashed in with a lot of tees and greens very close together. Good for higher handicappers, but not much of a challenge for better players.

Well worth a Golf Break. Once over the Lake, the holes on the 'island' were lovely with the old cedar trees towering around you. The greens were well manicured as were the fairways. A good test of golf for all Handicaps. The hotel was nice with plenty of facilities and great food. Prices were reasonable.
