The Burgess Hill Golf Academy Player Reports

Burgess hill is a bit pricey but its always in good condition and it does more for my game than most other courses.
Sorry but I strongly disagree with the bottom comment of cuckfield offering a better test. All the par 5s are reachable in 2 with a driver and iron and many of the par 4s driveable.
I have taken lessons from a few pros at burgess hill and thought the price was very good for the level of tuition you recieve.
The main problem I have found is how busy the range is in the evenings mid-week.

I feel the need to defend burgess hill golf academy! I am a seasoned golfer playing off 8 and always thoroughly enjoy a quick 9 holes when I want to sharpen up my medium irons and my short game. Granted its expensive for par 3 but is an ideal place to learn the game - just ask my 8 year old son or my wife who both make good use of the driving range and the junior and womens group lessons which are excellent value. The course has been well built with good teas, grees and bunkers and I have no problem parting with a tenner every couple of weeks.

true, its a nice course.i have been taking my son, who is a learner.but the prices are a complete rip off,i was on holiday in weymouth ,and went to similar course[all par 3s]and paid half the price and course was just as good if not better. the driving bays are good ,and tuition excellent, but paying one pound per hole for par 3s i a high price to pay. the restaurant next door is also very, very expensive , but we usually give their bar a wide berth. its a good course but its violently expensive.

The driving range is very good and the resturant is very nice (a bit expensive). The course is nice but it is stupidly expensive. It is in good condition but it is really just a pitch and put.

Incredibly overpriced par 3 course. Ok if you are a beginner, not much more than a pitch & putt.
You'd be better of spending your cash elsewhere. Hassocks is much better value & you don't have to pay to use the putting green!! Even Sparks Farm in Cuckfield offers a better test.
Having said that, the driving range is useful & the new restuarant is superb.
