Good course layout. Some narrow fairways and lakes make this course very challenging but do not think this course is easy as will punish any erant shots especially on the front nine, fantastic back nine holes. Good condition. Amateur course record 67(five under), held by the 1999 Club Champion Christian Sears. Pro record 72(level par), held by Martin Hammond. Rating 9/10

After you survive the uphill climb through the first four holes. 2nd & 4th are challenging enough, you are rewarded with terrific views of the surrounding area. The 7th (Escarpment)is a long drive followed by tight approach. The 8th, a feature hole, is 144yd both long and downhill! backed by the railway with wood left and gorse right, Wonderful phycological shot. Followed by a long carry over water. Will test any standard and will give plenty of entertainment. 19th good food average value - 9/10
