Horsham Golf and Fitness Player Reports
Alex Bishop (England) 24/08/04
The course is perfect for beginners, but will not really offer a big challenge to the more experienced golfer. If it were possible to put the course onto a photo copier and enlarge it by 25% then it would be greatly improved as the layout and surroundings are pleasant to say the least.
If you do play this course, be careful if you go down the right hand side of the 7th or the 9th as each hole runs parallel to each side of the driving range, and wayward shots from the range often end up on these holes.
In summary, if you're just starting out, then definitely play it. If not, then consider other courses in the area.

I have been playing golf now for around 10 years (although I am not very good!), and Horsham Golf and Fitness is a fantastic course to play on! Especially for a beginner like myself! I play on the course 5-6 times a week for 10 years now with friends, although primarily by myself! I find the staff very helpful and charming, especially "Noddy"! They make me feel at ease when I play! The surrounding area is beautiful and elegant, with the fantastic Harwood Arabian Stud nearby providing exquisite views whilst teeing off the 2nd and 3rd, or the 11th and 12th if you play 18 holes like me! Its fantastic, hopefully I'll see you there, I'll treat you to a soft drink at the bar with its excellent value for money!

I have only just started learning golf and this is a great place to start....
Completed 5 lessons of 6 and the training is great.... the instructor is very patient and the teaching is structures and gets great results.
Shop is well stocked and the people are helpful with regards to equipment choice and requirements.......
Course is a short (but for first timers at least)challenging run with plenty of water and sand....
Can't recommend them more really... so far it has all been money well spent and they have made me hungry to play the game for real..

This is where I learned to play golf when it opened. I have to say that you would be hard pressed to find a more attractive and interesting place to start out. Here I gained a handicap and acquired the confidence to move on. Although I haven't played the course for a couple of years I would thoroughly recommend it to the keen beginner. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and have good teaching facilities.
