Having played this course twice in recent months I thought it is only right that I pass on my views.
I played the blue and silver loops on both occassions while I have been told that the best combo to play is silver and gold. Accurate golfers will score well on the blue 9, the highlight of this loop is a par 3 4th over water onto a well guarded green but the highlights of our visit were the silver loop par 3 5th with its gorgeous views of the Welsh hills, and the par 5 9th where distance and accuracy are essential with two water features and several bunkers to negotiate.
Loveley clubhouse catering for weddings, conferences or just that cheeky shandy after your round. Driving range and par 3 academy course also on the site. There is also a quality pro-shop with many of the big names in golf gear available.
Great course, but be aware that the drive leading up to course is awful, any quicker than 15mph and you could do your car some damage.

Played 18 holes - the gold and silver courses. Lovely gently rolling parkland course and excellent facilities. Considering the recent weather (weeks of heavy rain and some snow) the course was in very good condition. Some interesting holes. Good clubhouse and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Happy to play again at any time.

Our society enjoyed 27 holes here last Friday. The courses provide a fair challenge and a good variety of holes. The greens had been hollow- tined recently, so were disappointing, but every thing else about the place is set up to provide visitors with an excellent day out. Good clubhouse facilities too.

( Played Blue/Silver Friday 24/3/06 )
A very impressive parkland course which is challenging but fair . The well positioned fairway bunkers ( frequently visited by all of us ) and contoured greens means you have to really think on every shot to keep your scores low. The clubhouse facilities are excellent with a well stocked shop. The female staff are like the food ( very tasty !! )
All in all worth a visit.

Played Gold/Silver at end of July. A good course, much preferred these two nines over the Blue.
Not very long but there is good use of slopes and water to increase difficulty.
Greens were superb, fast enough and grippy, managed to stop a full sand wedge on a down slope!
From past experience the course is not so good in the winter when it can get very wet, but well worth a visit in the summer.

Played Gold, Silver & Blue today. Didn't have any rain but the ground was boggy places from the recent weather, but even still all 3 sets of 9 are a real challenge, and enjoyable to play! Greens are some of the best i've played on even in this weather! I think playing the Blue as the front 9 and the Gold as the back 9 is the best combo of courses!!! Can't wait to play it again then the weather picks up!!!
Rating 8.5 out of 10.

Great course whatever your standard, plenty of interesting and challenging holes, particularly the Par 3 4th on the Blue. Must for societies and great value at £14 for the early riser deal. Often enjoy the finish of a round on the 8th & 9th of Silver course (very testing long par 4 and plenty of water all the way down the 9th. Condition of greens is good and fairways are lush. Some of the bunkers aren't the best but all in all play it if you get the chance.

this is a beauty of a course. played it a couple of times and enjoyed both. great fairways, greens, tees and some challanging hole blue 1.

WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT THIS COURSE OTHER THAN ITS REALLY GOOD VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY, STARTING WITH THE TEES THESE ARE THE BEST TEES IVE SEEN FOR A LONG TIME, FAIRWAYS ARE LUSH GREEN GRASS WHICH HAVE BEEN KEPT LONG AND NOT SHORT SO THEYVE BURNT OVER THE SUMMER MONTHS ( WELL DONE TO THE GREEN STAFF ).THE GREENS ARE TRUE AND FOUND THAT THE GOOD GREENS OUT NUMBER THE BAD ONES.SOME GOOD CHALLENGING HOLES OVER THE 3 COURSES JUST RECENTLY HIT A 38 ON THE GOLD AND 39 ON THE BLUE (H'CAP 15 )WAT A SHARK 45POINTS. EARLY MORNING RISER IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY THIS IS A MUST COURSE TO PLAY
Dave Brierley (England) 15/07/03
For societies this is a must. Whilst some of the facilities would benefit from some investment (the changing rooms in particular are an eyesore) the golf here is excellent.
Three loops of nine which, regardless of which you play or in which order you play them, will provide a day of enjoyment and satisfaction. In particular the ninth holes on the Silver and Gold courses are both wonderful par fives that give you options and need to be played well to avoid destroying the card. The presentation of the course is always fantastic with the greens normally quick and true providing a good test for the putter.
One slight complaint is that a course planner is a must for a first time visitor as several holes dog leg 90 degrees and can be confusing from the tee.
