Played the course on a lovely June evening for only £14 - a real bargain as the course has matured brilliantly since I last played it about ten year's ago. It now looks attractive with varied routing and with the bunkers and water well placed and the greens fast and true. The clubhouse is also worth a visit with good beer, excellent dishes of the day for a fiver and very friendly service.

Played October 2006 on a blustery day. The course is very long off the white tees, but not quite so demanding off the yellows. But this gives you an immediate clue to the type of course. Its got lots of long par 5's, and feels a very long walk. However all the fairways are massive, so its designed for people with drivers to go and have a big hit! There are water hazards on the course and bunkers, however I couldnt see how any of them came into play, so guess they are for decoration more than anything else. The toughness comes from length, and very few holes are memorable, or require much finesse. However I enjoyed my visit, and the greens and course were kept in very good condition. Cost with a 2fore1 was £22 on a Saturday for a full ticket - very reasonable. I think as the course was only built in 1995 it can only get better, and with a nice clubhouse and decent facilities it should become a very decent course.

Not sure how my other entry got here that was a review for ansty golf club in coventry.
This is my review of Park Hill G.C.
On the card this looks to be a monster yardage, somthing more likely to be played in the european tour than a sunday nock up.
However this is from the tips and although its not short from the daily tees it dosnt play like its full yardage.
A good mix of par 3's, 4's and 5's , two of the latter being the 17th and 18th holes.
The holes are very well laid out using the contours of its hill top location and has mean but not unfair bunkering and water hazarding.
winter greens are used here in bad/adverse weather but you cant blame them as the greens are some of the best in the midlands.
Off course, there is a good but not cheap driving range and a good quality putting green.
The club house offers a warm welcome but again is not one of the cheapest so bring some notes with you.

Very Promising Course!
Long, wide fairways - but you still have to be careful and not just hit big. Greens are superb even when played in winter ( as I have just done )
Definitely the best new course in the county.
I found that the service was friendly, plenty of food choice and reasonably priced - and I was on a society, so I am suprised at other comments!
I'm planning on popping back soon, probably when my course is shut due to flooding

I have to disagree about your comments about the food at Park Hill (were you really there? or just a rival? Rothley jealousy perhaps?)
The food is good value and choice.
The course is developing nicely and the greens are unrivalled locally. It's always nice to be able to play at Park Hill when other courses are underwater!
