Location/Description:

Taunton Vale Golf Club is probably the most easily accessible club in the County. It is situated little more than a five minute drive from either junction 24 or 25 of the M5 motorway and a few minutes drive from the County town of Taunton.

The Proprietary own club opened in 1991, comprises of the 18 holes Charlton Course and the 9 Hole Durston Course. Set amid 156 acres of gently rolling Somerset countryside with views of the Quantocks and Blackdown hills.

The Charlton course in particular, contains many interesting features. Two excellent par 5's the second of which is a double dog-leg of 569 yards into a hidden green and it a test of accuracy. The four par 3's pose a fascinating question of club selection, especially on our signature 4th hole with water surrounding 2/3rds of the green. Water forms a challenging part of the course.

There is a fully stocked Pro Shop where all your golfing needs can be taken care of at very competitive prices.

Our large Clubhouse holds a full license with a smoking bar and non-smoking lounge bar, plus an attractive dining room and conservatory, where an excellent menu is on offer and includes a Carvery served on Sundays, to members and non-members alike, all year round.
