A nice parkland course which is deceptively hilly. There are actually 2 courses here, an 18 hole and a 9 hole. We played the 18 hole, which I have to say was in very good shape after recent rain. The clubhouse is nice, on the day we were there they were doing pensioners lunches, these aren't golfers, just local people who come there for lunch! Very nice though and friendly staff. My sons wanted to watch the Test match which was being shown in the members bar, and the members in there were quite happy for us to come in and join them, rather than sit with the old dears having their roast dinners! In all seriousness, you wouldn't get that in a lot of old fashioned clubs, my lads are only aged 13 and 10. It was nice to be able to sit with fellow golfers in the bar and chew the fat over our respective rounds.

Played last week with my two sons and despite the gales and horizontal rain managed to enjoy the round. Some interesting water holes on the back 9 were of particular note and the par 3 4th over the lake. Was in excellent condition given the recent weather.
Only complaint was that having been honest enough to ask if it would be ok to play on a few more holes we were asked for another 20 odd quid. Needless to say we didn't bother. Having spent over £60 for the round, driving range, food drinks etc I thought we had spent enough.
Despite this will certainly give it a go next time in the area.
