Played here midweek Feb. 06 (£22 using the Open Fairways scheme ).
An o.k. contemporary course .The front 9 was pleasant & well laid out .However i didn't enjoy the feel of the back 9 so much & it felt a bit disjointed & didn't flow as well .The par 3 15th feels as if it should be the 18th as it's in front of the clubhouse & then you have to cross a road & play a loop of the last 3 holes ( 2 short par 4s & par 3 to finish ).
The layout would be better if you played the last 3 holes first & also the 1st hole isn't a very good starting hole as you aim uphill at a marker post & you can't see if the fairways clear.
The course was generally well maintained .Certainly not worth anywhere near the standard £44 green fee & i'd say a fair price for this course would be £16 /£17 .

This course is pretty shot 5500 yards or so with 6 par 3's and only 1 par 4 above 400 yards (401). This said it is still a test with plenty of hazards on every hole. It's shortcomings are a distinct lack of roungh and the fairways weren't in great condition when we played. Greens were excellent as were the bunkers and the setting is lovely - plenty of holes with blind tee shots. The par 5 on the front 9 (5 or 6) with water down the right was a great hole and I liked the 18th 215 yard par 3 over water but apart from that not many holes really stick in the memory.

This course sells itself as "Friendliest course in surrey, I am afraid its anything but friendly and does not welcome visitors only members. We tried to get a booking at twilight and after they found out we werent members told us we couldnt book a time, hardly friendly. We play off a low handicap with certificate so avoid if you can.

chobham has improved greatly over the years with more and more members saying its getting better every year. Their are some great holes with a few long par 3's 15th and 18th being the toughest they can play nearly upto 200 yards with water. A very friendly club house, been open for just over 10 years now.

Chobham is a fairly new course of which I have just joined. The holes vary dramatically and it is a very FAIR course. My favourite holes are the 8th, a par 4 downhill dog leg left and the 13th, a par 5 dog leg left with the green down a dip. The clubhouse is very welcoming with an open plan lounge area.
