Mount Pleasant Golf Club Player Reports

Played Mount Pleasant last Friday and we were very pleased with the set-up there. Some improvements since last played 18 months ago-particularly the use of different tee boxes for the back 9 and the quality of the greens (excellent). Very enjoyable golf, good use of water where possible and very friendly staff.

Following on from all the other comments I thought I would add my own . Ihave just plated Henlow in the wind and the rain and can report that in these condtions whilst its still a bit short it is rather more difficult .Like so many 9 hole courses the fairways are a bit tight and can have you thinking your driving is poor when its fine .I n short a nice well maintained course not ideal for the bigineer but worth trying .
5/10

A great course, ideal for beginning/improving golfers.
Greens always in superb condition, a credit to the green keepers.
Good value for money with a couple of challenging holes, especially the 11th.

Overall disappointing. Probably ideal for the beginner but far too open and although a young course still to mature found fairways very stony and greens of an uneven pace. In saying that ideal for twilight rounds as course is so short.

a small but friendly course. Run by Mr and Mrs Simkins for about 10 years. Greens are always well maintained, and visiters are wellcome. A good chalenge for beginers, and experienced players alike. We will be coming to the course this friday and are going to enjoy a good evening.

Graham has either not played this course or he has a personal grudge. Mount Pleasant must be one of the best maintained courses in the area. It never seems to be shut except by snow! After 7 months of wet the greens are still in great shape,& the temporaries are only played when it is frosty. Beginers are made very welcome and the staff are always helpful and friendly.
