Three of us played the 18 hole course on Sunday .
It has a nice parkland layout but a little overpriced at £22.50 . The greens are average for what you are paying for.
Course etiquette is poor as twice I landed in the bunker only to find my ball in big footprints !
You often find 'foreign' players on your fairway just as you are about to hit .
Overall , very enjoyable, especially the finishing par3 hole over 140 yds of water ! It just needs improvements .....

Played mid Jan 2005 on the nine hole course.
Impressive large club house with extensive pro-shop, but not the warmest of welcomes - not clear where to book tee times and receptionist appeared to spend most of the time on the phone.
Nine hole course had plenty of potential since it wasn't the usual pitch and putt, with a couple of par 5s. However it was unloved and like other comments lacking a few touches that would have really made a great course. The temp tees were bare mud and there were a couple of temp holes, but only with standard hole cups, so you needed to add an extra putt to any par. The remaining greens were covered in sand, and even then were uneven and of a poor quality. There was however plenty of water interest with several holes needing accuracy to avoid them.
Seemed pricy at £6.50

Trent Lock has gradualy improved over the last five years. 27 holes that drys quickly, and doesn't muddy up to much. The course is open all year round weather permitting. some nice holes played over ponds or ditch's make it a challenge. But it is not to expensive, which macks it a popular course. Also it is not rted like some courses to members only on a Saturday or Sunday morning.
The club house is excellent. A very large pro shop, driving range with upto date self loading tees. A private bar and Resteraunt. And a suite upstairs to cater for weddings etc.
on the old front seven holes you can even take a begginer out in trainers. I wouldn't recomened it though as you should always wear the correct shoes, to get proper grip.
The bar food is cheap and filling. And the resteraunt does al'acart. So why not give it a visit and try it for your self. Oh just to be honest, I am a member. And the green fees for the year are only £390.

Paid £12.50 to play the 18 hole course, great value for the price. I found the front nine a bit bland but the back nine was very intresting with water in play everywhere. The 18th was a very nice closing hole. It can only get better with age.

Superb clubhouse. Superb well equipped Pro-shop. Superb all round facilities. Useless golf course.

I recently played the 9 hole course and was well impressed by the course and the cost .Unfortunatly the weather was terrible as was my score ,however I would be happy to reccomend this course for a swift 9 holes .My only minor complaint is the lack of info on the course layout with for example the green on the first hole being a blind hit off the tee .
