I played this course twice this summer at the special Monday rate of £15 for as much golf as you can manage in a day.

While the course is well signposted, in general the entrance itself is not clearly marked and I can see the prospect of an accident.

The three loops of 9 each have a good variety of holes though the short holes with 2 notable exceptions are the weakest area of the course. A visit to the most informative web site should reveal those short holes which escape my general mild criticism.

This is not a frightening course and, I would think, offers a good challenge to golfers of all standards. The holes are relatively forgiving in that moderate shots to the greens do not leave particularly difficult recovery shots.

The staff in the pro's shop are particularly helpful about which loop offers the clearest run if you arrive without a booked tee time.

While my geographical location means I am unlikely to play here again except on a Monday the full green fee seems reasonable.

As all golfers will know water has an inexplicable attraction to golf balls and though many of the water hazards should not come into play a good supply of balls would still be a sensible precaution.

The condition of the course was excellent with the greens while relatively easy to read particularly worthy of praise.

Played here on a summer Monday and was offered a 2 for 1 price which at £15 per player was good value. Friendly pro shop.

We played the Badger sett and Deer park 9s. Greens were in good condition and running true. Some good par 3s challenging you to take on water.

For the first time visitor to the course however there were too many blind tee shots and blind second shots obliging you to wait for bells and then no real idea of what shot was required (no course planner on sale). Regular players of the course would not suffer so much from this aspect of the course design.

this on a 2-4-1 is incredible value, some very interesting holes, well kept greens and a friendly pro.

Its odd playing a course with 27 holes, maybe they should decide on the two best nines (badger and deer in my opinion) and have 1-18 with a seprate nine hole course.

The sixth on the badgers is as good a drop hole as any I've played.

My only gripe is that they didn't open until 8'00am, in the middle of summer you could have played nine by that time.

Despite this super value for money at a well kept friendly venue.

Played mid December on Fox and Badger. A bit muddy but considering the time of year very good. £20 for 18 holes wasn't bad mid week, with both 9 holes devoid of people. Only a couple of temp tees. Quite a balanced course with some good interest - would like to see how it played on a summers day! Badger seemed slightly better than fox with the last 4 holes on Badger a delight. 6th is a 7 iron from a massive elevated tee onto the green surrounded by water. The 7th requires a huge drive over a rising bow and then into a crucible green - lucky to have a chance on par. The 8th shoots across a ravine if you hit it well before another uphill to the small green. The 9th returns you to the clubhouse with a wide fairway and the chance to redeem yourself in front of the clubhouse.

Welcome very warm from pro shop to club house. The request for food at 3.30pm wasn't a problem and all reasonably priced.

Changing facilities and car parking extensive. Only the driving range let it down - more of a shed than a range with pond wash balls. I noted that the only ball in one lake was the one I had put there - clearly balls were removed regularly!

OUR SOCIETY PLAYED DEER PARK AND BADGER'S SET ON WEDNESDAY LAST. THE COURSE IS VERY GOOD INDEED AND PRESENTS QUITE A FEW CHALLENGES, ESPECIALLY ON SOME OF THE PAR 3'S. IT'S A BIT STEEP IN PLACES, BUT NOT QUITE MOUNTAINOUS. IT WAS WELL LOOKED AFTER, AND THE SCENERY IS EXCELLENT WITH SOME GREAT VIEWS. ALL THE STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL, AND I SHALL HAVE NO HESITATION IN GOING AGAIN.

Our society played here twice in a week - and it was excellent value. It's difficult to say which of the three nine hole loops is best although I prefered Foxes Run to Deer Park and Badgers Set. In May, the greens were fast and true and the fairways lush. It's a friendly place and the food is good. Have a look round the Pro Shop; there are some good bargains. I got a paid of golf shoes in a sale for just £29!
