Played this course in their seniors open event. An excellent day on a well-prepared course, great lay out-well designed variety of holes. The event, whilst not over subscribed, was well organised and marshalled. I can’t comment on the condition of the bunkers, I only visited one and that was fine. The meal and prize presentation that followed was excellent, overall a very good day; I shall enter again (if invited) and recommended it to one of the societies I belong to.

I have played this course several times now. The course is always very busy and play far too slow.Be prepared for a 4.5 hr round. Greens generally overwatered and slow.Could be a great course but slow play has ruined every round for me so far.

I'm a member here. Nice course, peaceful setting. Wide fairways and large greens so that holes can seem easy - but you don't see too many people really scoring well. Also some tough holes notably (IMHO) the 5th (190 yd par 3 with very hilly green + large bunker, the 9th (longish par 4 over trees + two streams), and longish par 4 14th and 16th. Also 3 of the par 5s are nice doglegs where you can take on the corners. Quite exposed so the wind usually plays a part in your round. Course has suffered recently from wet winters / dry summers - but the club have spent money improving drainage on 9th and 12th which helps. Some bunkers still poor (though sand has been replaced in some which is much better). The only thing I don't like is that the course is freely open to pay-and-play golfers (seemly even those who have never hit a ball before) which means weekends can get very busy and slow. Could do with some course marshalling and slightly more spaced out teeing off times. Especially tends to bottleneck around the 9th due to tough tee shot.

I played this course on a calm sunny afternoon in August. Great greens, very true and reasonably paced. Nice wide fairways and lots of bunkers (not all of them in the best condition and lots of rakes missing). All in all a fair course, probably quite good for beginners due to the wide fairways and the number of shortish par 4's. The pro-shop is disapponting with very limited stock. Prices in the bar are a bit high but maybe it's cheaper for members.

I'm a low handicap golfer and throughly enjoyed Cambridge Meridian - now renamed Cambridge National. Found it in excellent condition, greens superb and well worth playing. A lot of golf for your money. The pro shop is now in the clubhouse and the welcome is excellent.
