We are a society from essex and every whitsun bank holiday weekend for the last eight years,20 of us have descended on the hotel/golf club and spend a very enjoyable time at a very well run hotel and a superb course.The course is always in fantastic condition and is a excellent challenge for golfers of all standards,although it will take at least two rounds to fully appreciate the contours and layout of the course.We play four rounds ,one on friday ,two on saturday and one on sunday and at no time has anyone of us had any reason to complain,we have never considered going anywhere else as the whole weekend is a pleasure from start to finish.This course comes highly recommended

Played twice in 2006 (Spring & Late Summer)

Good test for any golfer, fairways and greens in great condition. This truely is a little gem and i would recommend to anyone. We also stayed at the hotel - with rooms clean and spacous although dated, however food and beer was very good and will be visiting again this year.

Played at weekend members very curtious to visitors and gave good advice course in excellent condition and greens very true if line read correct.hotel food very good and excellent value will return with driver for long holes.

Played one evening summer 1999, course in very good codition and excellent greens but I found difficult to read. Very hilly, sometimes driving blind at the marker post with fairways slooping away. Every hole provides a different challege.

Wide fairways generally with short rough, will help those who hit long and not always straight.

Super snack afterwards at the Hotel. Will re-visit. Managed 90 off 24 handicap.
