Played both courses in the same day on a deal which included bacon roll and coffee on arrival, 36 holes with lunch all for £42.50. All I can say what fantastic values.
Now for the courses.
First of all we played the Kings course, which is a very good course. The greens were in fantastic condition and fast. The only disappointing element is the fact you don’t have to give much thought to club selection off the tee. Having said that there are some fantastic holes and two great par 3’s over the lakes.
The Earls course is a different cup of tea. This is more of a woodland course with very tighter fairways where accuracy off the tea is called for and the driver is not always best (thats for sure). Again some cracking holes with exceptional greens.
All in all, a fantastic experience and we will be returning next year for another 36 holes all being well. Might well take up the option of a buggy, especially if playing the Kings course second, as there are a few longer walks from Green to tee.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to play here as they do have some great deals going on.

Glen, I'm delighted to say that the clubhouse is back to it's best and the course, whatever way round you want to play the four nines, is as good as ever.
I too was disappointed with what happened last year when I played in a mixed greensomes with my wife but what happened happened and the club is looking forward. Our Society played there in late April when the weather was so good, all very well organised and staff very friendly.

Still in good nick as a course, I left there as a member a few years ago and got in a a private club, The membership here just got too expensive, but I still like to come back now and again. Just a pity the off course side of things is so poor now. This is very much an American style course with lots of water. This can make it a wet course in winter. It is also very long. What is unfortunate is that they have re-routed the course for some reason, it was very confusing.
There have been a few changes in management there, the old clubhouse is now stood derelict by the car park, with the rather unattractive leisure centre building now doubling as the clubhouse. The excellent pro shop in the old building has been replaced by what can only be described as a broom cupboard. I don't know what plans are in store but I would be far happier if someone did up the old clubhouse and made it feel more like a club again. Ten years ago I was proud to be a member, so good was the set-up. Going back, I still like the course but I don't like much else about the place!

I was robbed by one point by a member on the east south course. BUT it was well worth it. When you drive into what can only be describe as a complex you know its going to be good quality. The 2 nines are a good contrast with a variety of challenges from water, trees and elevation. The par 5s are all a challenge with no easy birdies on hand. Well worth a visit and looking forward to the rematch on the north east course.

I played the East/south course, and after overcoming the size of the golf course i thouroughly enjoyed the whole day. At £40.00 per round on weekdays and £60.00 weekends this may put a few people off, all i can say is bite the bullit and pay the green fee what you will get is very good value for money on a course that was in A1 condition. The welcome was suberb and every member of staff extremly helpfull.

i played the east south in late october and found that it was a tough test, with long par four's and tough par three's, it was a tougher test as i have faced over the summer. I had heard that the north west was tougher so i will definately be back to play that. The standard of courses that i play on the weeekend are relitavely routine so a tough test is always welcome.
