Colmworth and North Bedfordshire Golf Club Player Reports

The management make no effort to marshall this course or to consider the correct tee times for 4 balls. I played last weekend as part of a 2 ball and got stuck behind 3 groups of 4 ball players. Be prepared for a slow round. For £25 value for money is poor and I won't be returning.

Played mid May. Still maturing, so many trees are still saplings and the wind blows on the hill top location. A good day out with range, par 3 pitch and put and 18 holes. Played the main course which is ok, but a bit flat and the greens were in a terrible condition - very bumpy, with the exception of the 9th which is the one in front of the car park. The lack of any information on the layout made some of the shots hit and miss and the course breaks strangely after the 12th when you have to walk around the range and over the road to the 13th.
All in an enjoyable experience and for £14 good value.

Washington DC visitor to Colmworth:
Great course for a new golfer. You are not overwhelmed but at the same time, it is a challenging course for the beginner and the intermediate golfer. What I liked best was the friendlness of the locals and I never felt rushed.
Weekdays are best, but weekends aren't crowded.
