played this course a few times over the past year and have found it to get better by the weekend.the fairways were cut well to give the course a championship feel, the rough was generally forgiving with a few rabbit holes to steal your balls if you don't keep an eye out.deceptive short rough too.the trees make a wonderful setting and the course is just long enough for me as i prefer longer courses.the greens were very green and true and made such a difference to the sandy holes on the other courses i play.the staff were friendly and the food excellent.all in all my favourite golf course in the u.k out of 20 courses i've played.
some of the par 3's were long enough for my 5 wood,ie.195 odd yards, and some were short enough for a 9 iron.nice and varied course.very quiet even on the weekends.superb value.

Played this course on 8/7/03 using the 2fore1 scheme as there was 3 of us it worked out £15 each for 2 and £20 for the third. Very friendly welcome in the pro-shop. Tee boxes were in good condition and the greens very good. Fairways were in good condition and the rough was quite forgiving. Only complaint i would have about this course is that the distance between green and tee are very far and probaly add an extra 500plus yards on to your round. I would also suggest that they put a course guide on the back of the scorecard as the back 9 is very confusing and the trip through the woods could be signposted better.....

An enjoyable test of golf with many challenging holes.

Its not a bad test of golf and over recent years has improved, the greens are very slow but you have the benefit of being able to play them all year round even when they are frozen. The course is never closed particularly to visitors who can get on any time if they have the cash. Members seem to be very friendly and the clubhouse is welcoming, no one even seems to mind if you wear football kit on the course as long as you enjoy yourself, quite refreshing.

Certainly not the most exciting course I have played but nicely kept and most of the holes well enough landscaped to maintain some interest. Three or four of the holes are little more than a converted field but provide good driving practice. Not too busy, which for what is effectively a pay and play course comes as a nice surprise. Some nice views over the surrounding countryside. Would suit beginners very well.
