Fairway Golf and Driving Range Player Reports
Geoff Knibbs (England) 18/05/06
Playing through a gale is never a good idea - but a round at The Fairways will certainly sharpen you up. Tight fairways and not too long - this course is a dream for a beginner or to sharpen your short game. The holes are long enough to try your woods and the greens good enough to test your putting and the best part is the excellent value for money. Sure it's not championship standard - but at £8.50 for 18 holes it is the best value around to try the next stage of your golf. Recomended

Great course for the beginner and short hitter, the holes are deceptively tricky with plenty of trees and hazards to fall foul of, particularly the 4th. Holes 5 and 8 do allow you to swing your woods. Price is very good value, the greens are generally in good condition although we have seen them scuffed during the summer with heavy use. Driving range is good if you need a practice swing first and has enough room for the longer hitters, although if you are very long try not to hit the players on the 2/3 holes!
All in all a very good course for the beginner and intermediate players, a little short for the better players I would ahve thought.
